BioI am a pre-published children's writer. I enjoy writing picture books, easy readers, chapter books and plays. I started my first MG novel in March. It's still sitting unfinished.
I have three girls, ages 4, 8 and 11. They participate in soccer, dance and theater--and they keep the family hopping. When I'm on a roll with my writing, this LJ is mostly about writing. When I'm overwhelmed with family life, you'll see a lot about what's going on in the world of theater and birthday parties. Most of that is friend locked. When I'm totally overwhelmed, I spend more time on Twitter and Facebook...that explains the lack of posts here this year!
I live in Kansas and have also lived in Iowa and Nebraska. I'm involved in SCBWI's Kansas region. Under my membership groups on this page, you'll see a link to Kidlit Central News. (www.kidlitcentralnews.com). I started that community to promote children's lit originating from the Central U.S. Please pop by and check out who's who!
Another favorite project of mine is at www.cookingupstories.com where my kids and I teach kids to write while we cook.
